Abingdon-Avon High School reportedly received a threat against the school overnight.
In a statement sent from District 276, district officials say an individual who made the alleged threat has been taken into custody, and the situation has been contained.
WGIL also received a message from the district saying classes are in session today, though law enforcement will have an increased presence in the district through tomorrow ahead of when winter break begins at weeks end.
It’s unclear what threat was made, or who the individual arrested was. WGIL will have more information as it becomes available.
