Galesburg Police Asking for Public’s Help

Robbery SuspectAround 1:40 Saturday afternoon the Cash Store located at 1516 North Henderson street in Galesburg was robbed.

Galesburg police say they’re looking for a suspect described as a thin black male with facial hair. He’s believed to be between five-eleven and six feet tall and between the ages of 20 and 30.

The suspect is said to have been wearing a gray jacket with lettering on the front, black clothing underneath and a green stocking cap. It was also reported he was carrying a black backpack at the time of the robbery.

Police say the suspect entered the establishment and displaced a firearm and walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Galesburg police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the man. They have released a surveillance photo of the suspect, that can be found on WGIL’s Facebook Page.

An investigation is still ongoing.
