A Fulton County resident is accused of attacking two men representing the Illinois Gaming Board while at a bar where video gaming units are believed to be in use.
The Fulton County Sheriffs Department says the incident happened yesterday at a bar in Table Grove near the McDonough County line. Officials say as two Illinois Gaming Board special agents were conducting an inspection of the establishment, 52-year-old Gilbert McMillan went up to them, yelling racial slurs at them.
Deputies say McMillan then struck one of the agents and pushed another, but that the agents were able to subdue him until deputies arrived.
McMillan, deputies say, also fought with Fulton County Jail staff as he was being booked.
McMillan faces three-counts of Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, two counts of committing a Hate Crime, and one count of Obstructing a Peace Officer.
McMillan remains jailed pending future court appearances.
No word on any injuries.
