Girls Basketball

It looks like tomorrow’s anticipated snowy weather will hold off this evening, so a number of the area girls high school basketball games can be played. One of those is in Abingdon, where the Tornados will host North Fulton. In Monmouth, the Titans will clash with West Hancock. A couple of other area teams will be on the road, as United travels to Wethersfield and ROWVA heads for Stark County.

The Galesburg girls game with Moline, that was originally scheduled for January 23rd, is supposed to be played tomorrow night. However, the weather forecast is calling for snow, which could cause another postponement. The GHS girls also need to makeup the game with Peoria Manual that was called off this past Saturday.

The Galesburg Freshmen girls will play tonight, as they host United Township. Meanwhile, the Silver Streaks Freshmen boys will travel to UTHS in East Moline.

Boys Basketball

There is one boys varsity game on the area schedule for tonight. That will be played in Williamsfield, where the Bombers will host Delavan.

The Galesburg boys will have a tough matchup this Friday night when they travel to Moline. The Streaks will take a record of 19-and-6 into the contest at Wharton Fieldhouse.
