Tina M. Shannon, 43, of New Windsor, Illinois, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Services are 7 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at the New Windsor Presbyterian Church. Priva te burial will be at a later date. Visitation is from 4-7 PM prior to services in the church. She was born August 11, 1970 in Rock Falls, Illinois to George and Lynda Hatten Wolverton. She graduated from Rock Falls High School. Tina married Curt Shannon Jr. June 28, 2002 in Altona, Illinois.
Tina was employed at the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, Sally’s Beauty Supply and Rosewood Care Center both in Galesburg, and was currently employed at McDonald’s in Aledo.
She was a member of the New Windsor Presbyterian Church where she served as elder and Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed her daughter’s activities including: 4H, cheerleading, Girl Scouts and horseback riding.
Survivors include her husband: Curt and a daughter, Dakota of New Windsor, IL; her father: George Wolverton of Ash Flat, AR; one sister: Sharon (Kenny) Robinson of Galesburg, IL; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Curtis and Rose Shannon of New Windsor, IL; one sister-in-law: Tammy (Alex) Nieves of Alpha, lL; one niece: Alexis Nieves.
Her mother; one daughter: Lynda-Rose; and one niece: Isabela preceded her in death.
