Sprout, Irvin Ira

IrvinPicIrvin Ira Sprout passed away February 4th, 2014.

He was born March 22, 1936 to Loren and Beulah (Johnson) Sprout.  He married his high school sweetheart Jolece Becraft on April 8, 1956 in Roseville.  She survives.

Irvin was a graduate of Roseville High School in 1954.  Then he attended Monmouth College.

Irvin was a sixth generation Warren County farmer.  He was an active member of the Roseville United Methodist Church, who served on various committees.  He was proud of being able to be a part of the planning and building committee for the current Roseville United Methodist Church. He was also the High School Sunday School teacher and on the Trustee Committee at the church.

Irvin was active in the community. He served on the Warren County Fair Board for nine years, two of which as President. He served on the Roseville School Board six years, and was involved in their FFA & Ag class programs.  He was a trustee on the RSP&E Fire District Board for nine years.

In addition to his wife Jolece, Irvin is also survived in death by his children Cathy (Bob) Dwyer, Cindy (Terry) Davis, and Fred Sprout all of Roseville.  He is survived by his mother-in-law Hester Becraft, his brothers Bill (Margaret) Sprout of Waunakee, WI and Don Sprout of Roseville. He is survived by his grandchildren Emily (Nathan) Brunnelson, Nick (Shae) Dwyer, Adam Davis, Mary Jo (Austin) Moeller, Kim (Jason) Lambert, Joe and Irv Sprout, and his great grandsons Alex and Ryan Brunnelson.  He is also survived by Aunt Harriet Knepp and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial service will be Monday February 10, 2014, 11:00 am at The Roseville United Methodist Church.   Family will receive friends Sunday February 9, 2014 from 2:00-5:00 pm at the Roseville United Methodist Church.  Cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be at a later date.   Memorials may be directed to the Roseville United Methodist Church, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Roseville Helping Hands, or the Roseville Ambulance Service.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.cormanmh.com.  Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
