LaVon L. Wadham, 77, of New Windsor, Illinois, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois.

Services are 11:00 AM Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in New Windsor. Burial is in the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-5 PM Sunday at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha where memorials may be left to Calvary Lutheran Church or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. She was born March 6, 1936 in Eliza Township, Illinois to Ed and Ruth Blaisdell Taylor. She attended Westmer schools. She married Harold A. Wadham February 6, 1954 in New Windsor. He died in 1997.

LaVon was a homemaker and was employed at the former Georgetown Manor Nursing Home in Aledo. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, WELCA and the Fern Leaf Society. She enjoyed flower gardening, embroidering, cooking, baking and especially loved being with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Barb (Guy) Horn of Woodhull, Illinois; Beckie (Matthew) Swanson of Rio, Illinois; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Corey, Robert, Brad and Lindsey; 5 great grandchildren with one lovingly expected; three sisters, Lois McCormick; Velma Wadhams, both of Aledo; Twila Lynn of Moline, Illinois; one son-in-law, Larry Loving of Aledo; one sister-in-law, Betty Wadham of Aledo; several nieces and nephews.

Her parents; husband; one daughter, Vicki Loving; and two sisters, Helen and Violet preceded her in death.
