Galesburg Silver StreaksThe Silver Streaks will be facing a team with home court advantage tonight as they face the Geneseo Maple Leafs in a semifinal game at the Geneseo Regional. Galesburg is the #1 seed, and watched last night as Geneseo defeated Alleman 59-41 in the play-in game of the fourth and fifth-seeded teams. The winner of tonight’s matchup will meet the winner of tomorrow night’s game between second-seeded Dunlap and third-seeded Canton. We’ll have the broadcast of the Silver Streaks tonight beginning at 6:40, with the tipoff at 7 on WGIL.

In Peoria this evening, a pair of games will be played at Manual High School. Top-seeded Limestone will take on Morton, to be followed by Manual’s game with Washington.

In Metamora, the host and top-seeded Redbirds will play Peoria Notre Dame, after Notre Dame crushed Streator last night 59-32.

And in Rock Island, at the 4A Regional, United Township will meet top-seeded Ottawa. Tomorrow night, Rock Island and Moline will meet in the other semifinal.

In class 1A action at the Brimfield Sectional, the host Indians will put their 28-1 record on the line against Lincoln Trail Conference champion Kewanee Wethersfield.

Tomorrow night, Monmouth-Roseville will try to upset top-ranked Rockridge at the Stanford Olympia class 2A sectional.

The post season continues for the Galesburg Freshman boys team, which beat Rockridge last night at the Kewanee Tournament. Galesburg is 15-4, and will play for the title tomorrow night in Kewanee.
