Jane M. Zimmerman, age 60 of rural Dahinda, IL died at 1:53 A.M. on Saturday, March 01, 2014 at home.

She was born on September 1, 1953 in Peoria, IL the daughter of James and Ruth Marie Walkemeyer McCormick. She attended Spoon River Valley and graduated in 1972. She married David J. Zimmerman on November 3, 1994 in Aledo, IL. She previously was married to Clifford Chambers in 1973 and Lonnie West in 1989.

Surviving is her husband: David of rural Dahinda, IL; her parents, James and Ruth McCormick of Knoxville, IL; one daughter, Christina (Jim) Hodierne of Galesburg, IL; one son, Cliffton (Jessica) Chambers of Galesburg, IL; two step-children, Cort (Roganne) Chambers and Randy Chambers both of Monmouth, IL; seven grandchildren; Keith (Christa) Duffie, Jeremy (Tracey) Chambers, Becky Chambers, Nathan Chambers, Matthew Osborne, Heather Chambers, and Josh Chambers; and many great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Steven (Karen) McCormick of Yates City, IL and Ted McCormick of Galesburg, IL; two sisters, Cheri Corbin-Shaffer of Kankakee, IL and Bonny (Randy) Bellinger of Monmouth, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

She worked as an assembler at the Maytag Factory in Galesburg for 30 years, retiring in 2002.
She enjoyed collecting oil lamps and coffee cups, crocheting, and dancing. Jane also enjoyed raising deer and other animals and gardening. She was a person ready to help.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Russ Collister will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Interment will be at the Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society, IL Cancer Care, or Maxey Chapel.
