New Leader Starts at CASA

A Galesburg native is taking over as the new Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocates of Knox County.

Nicole Olin previously worked as Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at her alma mater Monmouth College, but takes over as CASA’s director as of today.

Olin, who’s also worked at WGIL, tells us she’s become very involved in non-profit organizations, and the job at CASA is the latest step in that journey.

“My love for community outreach led me to this position with CASA,” says Olin. “I sit on the board of directors for a couple of different organizations and I’m a very involved individual. I truly believe in the mission for CASA and when this opportunity became available I thought this was something I could do and do well and it’s important that what I do is also meaningful.”

Olin says she hopes her experience with things like fundraising at Monmouth College will help her in her new position with CASA, with one major fundraiser coming up in May.

Olin replaces Hannah Malley, who resigned from the position last week as she’s expecting her first child.
