Monmouth College to Hold Discussions on Pakistan

Monmouth CollegeMonmouth College will host two days of discussions next week on an area of the world that is often a hot-bed of activity.

The college says it will host a conference on Pakistan next Monday and Tuesday.

The college’s political science department and the American Institute of Pakistan Studies are hosting the discussion, and with the exception of meals, all events are free and open to the public.

Wall Street Journal Pakistan Correspondent Zahid Hussain is among the participants hosting a number of panel discussions on Pakistan that will be held throughout the two days.

A workshop on music in the South Asian region will also be a highlight, and the conference will conclude with a South Asian music presentation.

Western Illinois University and one of its professors will be involved as well according to the college.

A screening of a film about a boy who crosses the Israel-Pakistan border will also be one of the highlights.
