Rambo, Ladonna Maxine Deming

Ladonna Maxine Deming Rambo, age 90, of Knoxville Illinois passed away at 4:58 P.M. on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.
She was born on January 3, 1924 in Girard, Illinois, the daughter of Everett C. and Lola Mae Gibson Deming. She married William Arvid Rambo September 29, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2000.She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Terry) Hankins of Knoxville, Illinois; two sons, Dale Rambo of Ft. Myers, Florida and James (Beverly) Rambo of Collegedale, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1944. She had a gift of music and played several instruments including the organ, piano, accordion and auto harp. She taught students the accordion in her home for several years and also participated in music contests with her students. She was active in the music ministry in her church playing the organ, piano, and singing in the choir. She and Arvid enjoyed performing music programs for many years for nursing homes, churches and various organizations. She also enjoyed traveling with their camper and visiting their children and families. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Galesburg, Illinois.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Elmwood Cemetery, Elmwood, Illinois. Pastor Ron Scarlett will officiate. The family invites all friends to join them after the graveside service for a Celebration of Life from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home Fellowship Center, in Knoxville, Illinois.
