Butler, Jordan Todd

Mr. Jordan Todd Butler 24, of Cameron, Ill. died at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Coldbrook Township, Warren County, Ill.He was born May 1, 1989 in Galesburg, Ill. to Todd James and Patricia J. Gardner Butler.
Surviving is his mother, Patricia Butler (and Mike Thurman) of Abingdon; a step mother, Julie Cheesman Butler of Cameron; a maternal grandmother, Clara Gardner of Knoxville, Ill.; a maternal grandfather, Ed Cheesman of Galesburg; paternal grandparents, Gene and Nancy Dimmitt Youngquist of Cameron, Ill.; paternal grandfather, James Butler of Tucson, Ariz.; his fiancé, Skylar Duncan of Cameron; his son, Brody Todd Butler at home; two brothers, Dylan Butler of Chicago, Ill. and Hunter Butler of Cameron; two sisters, Ashley (and Jason) Overby of Galesburg and Laney Butler of Cameron and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Todd James Butler; a grandfather, Allen Gardner and a grandmother, Patti Cheesman.
Jordan was a part of Youngquist Farms in Cameron. He was a volunteer basketball coach in Alexis, Ill. He graduated from Knoxville High School, Knoxville, Ill. in 2007. He attended Carl Sandburg College, Galesburg. He was a member and Deacon of the Cameron Christian Church. He was a community volunteer in Cameron. Jordan was a bone marrow donor in 2013. Jordan enjoyed the outdoors including, fishing, mushrooming and arrowhead hunting. He enjoyed and raced snow mobiles. He restored antique tractors. He was an avid Chicago Bears, Cubs and Bulls fan. Jordan loved spending time with his son.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Cameron Christian Church. Rev. Paul Lydic and Rev. Jeff Nielson will officiate. Burial will be in Silent Home Cemetery, Cameron, Ill. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.
