Bell, Mary Lucinda

Mary Lucinda “Cindy” Bell, 67, of Galesburg, Ill., (formerly of Glendora, Calif.) passed away 3:00 a.m. Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Ill.

She was born August 19, 1946 in Galesburg, Ill. to John B. Bell and Lorayne Montgomery-Hicks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Step-father, Robert Hicks and a niece, Stacey Bell. Surviving are two brothers, Jimmie (and Marj) Bell and Monty (and Marilyn) Bell both of Galesburg and several nieces and nephews.

Cindy lived in Glendora, Calif. for many years and was a member of Brethren Church. She worked for Citrus College in Glendora as a librarian. After retiring in 2006, she returned to her hometown.

Cindy was a great friend to all who knew and met her. She had a love of reading, trains, shopping, animals and most of all, spending time with her family. She was known for spoiling her pets. She often spoke of sunny California, the mountains and being on the beach.

Cremation will be accorded. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Michel Clark will officiate. There will be no visitation.
