Blucker, LueWella Grace

LueWella Grace Blucker, 79, of Galesburg died at 6:12 pm Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Seminary Manor Nursing Home.

She was born January 12, 1935 in Oklahoma the daughter of Alvin and Bessie Jones Elwood. She married Kenneth Blucker on August 10, 1957 in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2012.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Myers and Kenneth Blucker both of Kotzebue, Alaska; two daughters, Bev (JR) Bledsoe and Gail (Danny) Wade both of Galesburg; her sister, Joyce Lawrance of Galesburg; ten grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Cheryl Woodrow, two sisters, Ann Walker and Gene Elwood.

LueWella worked at Hi-Lo Grocery as a cashier for 30 years. She attended Abingdon schools. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285. She enjoyed going to the riverboat, playing bingo, working on her flower beds and playing with her grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:30 am Friday, May 2, 2014 in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Pamela Marolla will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Ralph M.
