That’s according to Galesburg Police who say they arrested 31-year-old William Avery just after 10:30 a.m. Officers responded to the 800 block of North Cherry Street using information they received.
Police were unable to provide an official police report, but said Avery was located and arrested on probable cause with the information.
Avery is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Meth Production charges. He is also facing a Class 2 felony count of being in possession of meth manufacturing materials.
Avery has a potential past history with the drug. In 2009, he was facing misdemeanor charges for purchasing meth manufacturing materials such as needles.
According to Knox County circuit court records, Avery appeared in court on the new charges, yesterday.
He will make a first appearance with a public defender on Friday.
