Nancy S. Collis, age 71, of Galesburg, died at 6:05 A.M. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at home.
Nancy was born January 24, 1943 in Galesburg, Illinois to Burl and Dorothy Collis. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1961. Nancy worked at the Care Center of Abingdon for 25 years in the dietary department.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Collis; and her half-brother, B. David Collis, both of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois with visitation being held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Pastor Pamela Marolla will officiate. Interment will follow at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family.
