Following a week of rainouts, the Galesburg American Legion baseball team finally got to play yesterday, but their game lasted only five innings, in a 10-0 rout of Farmington. Cody Hawthorne provided most of the offense, as he hit two home runs and drove in eight of the 10 runs for Post 285. Galesburg pitchers allowed just one hit over five dominant innings. The team has today off, before traveling to Quincy for a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 1pm. The two teams are scheduled to meet again at Knox College on Sunday. Post 285 has a record of 7-and-oh in its’ first two weeks of play.
