It was recently learned that grant funds were allocated to the City of Galesburg for updating the park, including for new equipment and landscaping. Aldermen will consider a plan submitted by an architectural firm out of Peoria that will cost nearly $85,000.
The firm will not only be responsible for design development, but will also do construction documents and the design’s implementation.
The recommended design company was selected after a competitive bidding process according to City documents.
Maurer-Stutz, which is the architectural firm, will be partnering with a landscaping and plumbing company in the project.
Because the project is grant funded, there will be almost no impact to the City of Galesburg.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:25 at Galesburg City Hall.
