UPDATED 12:47pm 6/16/14 Along with the new freshman on Monmouth College’s campus this fall, students will also notice another brand new face. The college has officially named their new President: Doctor Clarence Wyatt.
Wyatt comes to Monmouth from Danville, Kentucky, where he was the Chief Planning Officer and Special Assistant to the President at Centre College.
According to Monmouth Officials, Wyatt is joining Monmouth at an excellent time, when there’s a low student to faculty ratio, and an addition of new majors and pre-professional programs.
Wyatt, “American higher education is under great scrutiny and pressure as its value and affordability are being loudly questioned. But Monmouth College is addressing these concerns through innovative approaches to teaching and learning through a commitment to being a place of high quality and high opportunity.”
Chairman of the Monmouth College Board of Trustees, William Goldsborough says Wyatt was the clear choice to replace former President Mauri Ditzler. Ditzler left the College after 9 year at the helm. Wyatt takes over July first.
