Steven W. Yarbrough, age 54 of Knoxville, Illinois died on Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Branson, Missouri.
He was born on June 19, 1960 in Weatherford, Oklahoma, the son of John W. Yarbrough and Alice Maureen Harry. He was raised by his step-father and mother, Richard “Corky” and Alice Maureen Harry of Knoxville, Illinois. Steven married Leigh Ann Gosnell on August 10, 1983 in Pekin, Illinois. She resides in Knoxville, Illinois.
Surviving is his son: Tyler Yarbrough of Knoxville, Illinois; his father, Richard Harry of Galesburg, Illinois; his grandfather, Kenneth Johnson of Clinton, Oklahoma; an uncle and aunt, Bob (Donna) Gibbons of Sentinel, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Tyson, maternal grandmother, Edna Johnson and his paternal grandparents.
He worked for J & J Commerce in Galesburg, Illinois in sales, purchasing, then vice president for the past 14 years He ran his own mail order business/pet shop, Peticulars from 1996 – 2000.Previous employers were North Shore Canine Supply (Galesburg Division) and Blick Company of Galesburg, Illinois. He enjoyed scuba diving, photography, hiking and traveling. He was a member at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Galesburg, Illinois.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Galesburg, Illinois. Elder Adrian Dillin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. prior to services. A fellowship will be held at the Hurd-Hendricks Fellowship Center, following the services at the Kingdom Hall.
