Hall, Frances L.

Frances L. Hall, 94, of Galesburg, died at 11:24 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at home.

She was born January 26, 1920 in Quincy, the daughter of Charles H. and Essie (McCreight) McAuley. She married Frederick W. Hall Sr. on April 2, 1942 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death August 29, 1985.

She is survived by a son, Fred “Butch” (and Janice) Hall Jr. of East Galesburg; a daughter, Beverly (and Robert) Duckwiler of Galesburg; three granddaughters, Shaela Duckwiler, Colleen Iniguez, and Leslie Martin; and four great grandsons, Morgan Duckwiler, Noah Iniguez, Zachary Iniguez, and Drew Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and four sisters.

Frances was a homemaker. She also worked at Gale Products for 30 years, before retiring. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1940. Frances was a very active member of First Church of God, and a member of the Wataga Senior’s Group, and the Widow’s Group. She volunteered at Galesburg Cottage Hospital for many years. Frances was a social person who had great spirit. She enjoyed camping and traveling.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Don Reynolds will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to First Church of God or a charity of the donor’s choice. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
