The 22-year-old victim told police that around 11 p.m. he was walking southbound on West Street when he saw a black male subject walking in the opposite direction.
While in the 400 block of S. West Street, the subject allegedly came out from between the residences and pointed a gun at the victim’s face.
According to the police report, the subject allegedly told the victim to “get on the ground or I’ll shoot.” The victim attempted to turn and run, but the subject was described as too close at the time.
The victim claims the subject had his face covered and asked for his wallet and mobile phone – both of which were in the victim’s book bag.
The subject ordered the victim to count to 10 before getting up and leaving the scene and allegedly took off with the backpack.
