Galesburg Police were called to the 400 block of Clark Street on Monday to a report of an unwanted subject.
According to the police report, 35-year-old Timothy Longcor had inappropriately touched his 10-year-old niece. Officers were able to locate Longcor several houses down from the home they responded to, but said he was allegedly intoxicated when they found him.
Investigators spoke with the 10-year-old victim who said Longcor allegedly came into her room several times between midnight and the time of the call about 35 minutes later.
Police say Longcor allegedly fondled the victim over her pajamas. Investigators say the victim locked the door after Longcor left and woke up their parents.
The Child Advocacy Center was called to investigate the case. Longcor was arrested on Tuesday after additional questioning on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
During a video appearance in Knox County Circuit Court yesterday, Longcor was appointed a public defender and had his bond set at 15-thousand dollars in the case.
He will next be back in court August 1st.
