Hull, Earl D.

Earl D. Hull, 81, of Monmouth Illinois, died 1:54 A.M. Friday, August 15, 2014, at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg.

He was born October 13, 1932 in Kirkwood, the son of Clarence and Bertha (Roller) Hull.  He was raised and educated in Kirkwood and Monmouth.

Earl married Betty Inman on July 1, 1951 and she preceded him in death on June 27, 1954.  He married Audrey Inman on July 31, 1958,  in Monmouth and she survives. Earl and Audrey recently celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Earl worked as a Custodian at the National Bank-Midwest Bank of Western Illinois and at Melings Restaurant.  He enjoyed playing the steel guitar, playing in several bands including Earl Hull and the Country Express and the Fugitives.  He especially enjoyed his family and also loved fishing and hunting.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Audrey, one daughter, Lola (Terry) Dennis of East Galesburg, one son Earl D. (Star) Hull of Monmouth, 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

His parents, one daughter, Theresa Cooley, one infant son, Lee William Hull and four brothers, Eldron Crain, Herman Hull, Elmer Hull and Ervin Hull preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Pastor Don Miller.  Burial will be in Monmouth Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where his family will be present from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. for visitation.  Memorials may be left to be designated later.  Online condolences may be left at hooverhall.com
