CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago’s Jackie Robinson West All Stars broke a television rating record on Sunday for Little League World Series games viewed in the Chicago market.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that 810,500 local viewers tuned into WLS-TV to see the team’s loss to South Korea. The Video Music Awards that aired later that night drew 307,000 total viewers in the Chicago region.

The team’s victory Saturday over Las Vegas in the U.S. final was watched by 623,900 Chicago area viewers.

Jackie Robinson West was welcomed home Monday by the cheers of hundreds at Midway International Airport.

The entire city will get a chance to cheer the team during a parade Wednesday along a route that runs from the team’s South Side ball fields to downtown’s Millennium Park.
