WGIL Newsroom . State News 137

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) — Illinois’ candidates for governor and U.S. Senate are expected to outline their views on agricultural issues at a forum later in the day.

The event Wednesday is being held on a farm outside of Bloomington and coordinated with the Illinois Farm Bureau. It’s called the Illinois Agricultural Legislative Roundtable Candidate Forum and starts at 1 p.m.

Those expected to attend are Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn and his Republican challenger Bruce Rauner (ROW-nur) and Democratic U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin and his Republican challenger state Sen. Jim Oberweis.

Each candidate has a roughly hour to discuss issues, but they won’t address each other directly.
