A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this morning marking the formal opening of the newly-expanded Bounce Back facility at Seminary Village.
Construction started on the two-thousand square foot expansion late last year, due in part to the graduating number of people being seen and, in parent company RFMS’ words, have graduated through the program.
Marilyn Holt is Bounce Back’s Director of Clinical Rehab, and tells WGIL the expansion allows for the use of equipment that can, by and large, speed up the rehab process after an accident.
“The biggest and newest innovation that we have is the weighting system which allows us to suspend somebody in a body harness and really work on their balance, or even address pain issues and unload their joints,” says Holt. “It’s safe, our clients have loved it, they’re not afraid of it, that’s what we strive for.”
Holt says patients going through physical therapy now don’t have to worry about things like falling or losing balance, allowing therapists to essentially increase rehab and decrease the time it takes to recover.
Azer Rehabilitation Systems is working with Seminary Village, and they say the latest and greatest rehab technology is contained in the new facility.
