Wilson, Larry L.

Larry L. Wilson, 75, of Galesburg, died at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

He was born July 29, 1939 in Avon, the son of Ghlee H. and Louise (Eathington) Wilson. He married Janet K. Cunningham on August 15, 1959 at First Presbyterian Church in Galesburg.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet; a brother, Howard O. (and Mary) Wilson of Galesburg; a sister, Betty (and Edward) Britton of Montgomery, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and a special little buddy, a Papillon, named Kandi Sue. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Wilson; and a sister, Martha Talbert.

Larry was a Cadillac and Buick Sales Representative for many years. He worked for Bob Lindsay Auto for 15 years and Bob Weaver Buick for 13 years. He also had worked for Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors for 13 years. He retired in November of 2001.

Larry was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and also a fan of NASCAR.

Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Don Reynolds officiating.
