Wilson, Allan James, Sr.

Allan James Wilson, Sr., 67, of Monmouth died at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his home.

He was born October 15, 1946 in Monmouth, IL the son of Charles and Vera (Crawford) Wilson Kilpatrick. He was raised and educated in Monmouth.

Allan was married to Patty Shepler and then to Wanda Cook. He married Pam Basden in 1990, she survives.

Allan worked at Wells Pet Food, Farmland, Walmart and as a detailer at Bruce Foote Chevrolet. He also owned and operated Wilson Auto Parts just east of Monmouth. For the last quarter century, Allan was known as David Reid Clark’s “right-hand man.”

Survivors include his wife, Pam Wilson; children, William “Billy” Wilson, Jack Wilson, Doug Wilson, Shana (Roger) Mettler, Allan “Oopy” Wilson, Jr., Jennifer (Luke) Schoene and Sabrina Wilson all of Monmouth; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; brothers, Glenn Wilson, Kenneth Wilson and Louis Wilson; sisters, Ella Hank and Karen Cassiday; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Dee Ann Wilson; daughter in law, Tiffany Wilson; brothers, Everett Gossett, Steven Wilson, Roger Wilson and Dana Conaway; sisters, Bertha Wilson and Evelyn Uhlenberg.

A gathering a family and friends will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.
