Interview: Knox County Sheriff, David Clague

911 Cell

Knox County Sheriff David Clague has been advocating for the 9-1-1 sales tax referendum that is on the November 4 ballot.

The Knox County government is asking for voters to approve a 1/4 of 1% sales tax to update the County’s 9-1-1 system. This would mean a tax of just $.25 on a $100.00 purchase. Without the update to the system, there is no 9-1-s service for cell phones in the county and the system could go away completely in the county. We talked about the issue with Knox County Sheriff David Clague on the WGIL Morning News.
