Duckwiler, Jeffry L.

Jeffry L. “Duck” Duckwiler, 61, of Galesburg, died at 12:32 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014 at home.

He was born August 20, 1953 in Galesburg the son of Charles A. and Jane (Foster) Duckwiler. He married Susan Stevens. He later married Donna Stoneking on September 17, 2005 in Macon, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his mother, Jane Duckwiler of Galesburg; a son, Eric (and Janelle) Duckwiler of Alexis, Illinos; a daughter, Angie (and Michael) Chivers of Palos Park, Illinois; three step daughters, Kasey (and Jamie) Grawey of Knoxville, Illinois, Tami (and Michael) Anderson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Melissa (and Eric) Lacy of Dunlap, Illinois; two sisters, Jena (and Chester) Roate and Lei (and Phillip) Scarff, both of Galesburg; three grandchildren, Christopher, Nolan, and Isaac; and 11 step grandchildren, Justin, Nick, Alisa (and Tim), Victoria, Kelsie, Hollie, Haleigh, Gracie, Jackson, Brian, and Jillian. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Christopher Jay Duckwiler.

Duck was a mechanic at Roggenkamp Tire Center for over 40 years. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1973. Duck was a NASCAR fan, loved working on cars, and was an overall automotive enthusiast.

He was a loving husband, father, son, and grandfather. Family was his number one priority.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation with private family graveside services in East Linwood Cemetery. Rev. Don Reynolds will officiate.
