The GHS Silver Streaks beat the Rock Island Alleman Pioneers 76-38 for the opening game of the Western Big 6 conference season. The Streaks remain undefeated for this season so far at 6-0 and the Pioneers are now 2-4 for the season. The Streaks boys will have tomorrow off but the Girls will be playing against Dunlap with a pre-game starting at 1:10 with play by play on WGIL and WGIL.com with Tom Meredith and Erik Gibson. The boys next game will not be until next Friday the 12th against Moline.
