Mrs. Barbara J. Lundeen, 92, of Galesburg died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Rosewood Care Center.
She was born January 29, 1923 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Leonard and Gertrude Schanning Weir. She married Andrew J. Lundeen on November 10, 1945 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2014.
She is survivied by her son, Jeffrey (Becky) Lundeen of Galesburg; two daughters, Nancy (Wally) Stephenson of Lebanon, Pennsylvania and Julie (Charles) Nelson of Galebsurg; her sister, Margaret (Carl) Sandberg of Galesburg and six grandchildren, Anders Nelson, Joel Nelson, Jennifer and Bill Reigle, Jon and Marlene Stephenson, Lindsay and Chad Long and Cassie Lundeen and Calla Massman and seven great grandchildren, Matthew Reigle, Mitchell Reigle, Tori Stephenson, Taylor Stephenson, Tyler Stephenson, Cohen Long and Carsyn Long. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara worked as a sales person for Burglands Youth Fashion for 20 years, retiring in 1988. Barbara was a homemaker and built her life around her family. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1941. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, March 12, 2015 at First Lutheran Church. Rev. Pamela Marolla will officiate. Visitation will be from 9-10 am at the church.
