Monmouth-Roseville Teacher Electronically Solicited Student

Jennifer RexroatMore details have been released in regard to the Monmouth-Roseville Junior High School teacher who allegedly sexually solicited a male 15-year old student.

Warren County State’s Attorney Chip Algren reports that 39-year-old Jennifer R. Rexroat sent sexual text messages and communicated with the student via Instagram electronically for several weeks prior to her arrest this past Monday.

The guardian of the student reportedly identified authorities of the happenings.

Rexroat allegedly attempted to prompt the student to engage in oral sex, for which she is being charged with indecent solicitation of a child–a class two felony. If convicted, Rexroat could face up to seven years in prison as well as a fine of up to $25,000. No evidence of the actual act occurring has been released to this point.

The eighth-grade literature teacher was released from Warren County Jail Monday afternoon on $100,000 bail. She will appear in Warren County Circuit Court for the first time May 14th.

District 238 is abiding with board policy, and has placed Rexroat on paid leave until the investigation is complete.
