kccdd-logoAn area organization is hosting its 10th Annual Auction tomorrow night.

KCCDD is an employment service provider for intellectually disabled individuals. The organization reportedly serves more than 350 people per year through is programming.

Tomorrow’s auction will be used to fund their services. KCCDD is raising money in order to re-construct a clients’ lunchroom.

That’s according to CEO Mark Rudolph, who tells the WGIL Morning News, that the organization is trying to upgrade its facilities–many of which were built around the time of World War II.

“Our folks deserve a whole lot better than what they have got,” say Rudolph.”It’s just deteriorating buildings and things, and we just recently remodeled another one of our units out there, so, this is the next one on our list to do. Most of the money from this is going straight into things that the clients will see, touch, and feel. It’s important for them to have a nice place to be.”

This years auction is titled “Spring Break in the Wild, Wild West.” Rudolph says “cowboy grub,” western games, and a silent and live auction will all be featured tomorrow.

The event is being held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Galesburg. Doors open at 5:30.
