OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth has been named third cleanest –in the nation.

The rating is based on scores from the Hospital Consumer Assessment survey, which tally patient reaction.

95 percent of Holy Family patients reportedly cited room cleanliness following their visit.

CEO Patty Luker says “the recognition is a validation of what employees and patients already say.”

Vice President of Support Services Dana Hall added that “it’s a testament to the dedication of the staff.” She tells WGIL, that the work is all for patient health.

“It’s really their dedication to detail,” says Hall. “When they go into the rooms, there are checklists they do–they double check their work a lot. We say we clean, clean, clean after clean to make sure those rooms are clean for the patients just to keep them healthy. To get the national recognition, it really gives a tribute back to the staff.”

Holy Family reportedly finished sixth in the nation two years ago. The statistics are taken during a survey administered throughout a year long period.
