Police: Motorcyclist, Pedestrian Killed in Plainfield Crash

PLAINFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Authorities say a motorcycle wreck left the rider and a pedestrian dead in northeast Illinois.

Plainfield police say 27-year-old Sean Fitzpatrick was riding a motorcycle north on Route 59 when he apparently lost control and the bike struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, 56-year-old Randal B. Lambert of Plainfield, was pronounced dead early Tuesday at the scene.

According to the Will County coroner’s office, both died of multiple injuries sustained from the crash. The final causes and manners of the two men’s deaths will be determined following toxicological testing and a police investigation.
