Bradley Names Longtime Administrator as Interim President

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Bradley University has named a veteran administrator as interim president while it conducts a nationwide search for someone to fill the job permanently.

The university says former Bradley provost and retired Kettering University President Stan Liberty will serve as interim president beginning June 1. Current President Joanne Glasser retires on May 31.

Liberty left Bradley in 2005 after 7 years as provost to become president of Kettering in Flint, Michigan. He retired from that job in 2011 and returned to Peoria in 2014. He rejoined Bradley as a part-time faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Bradley Board of Trustees Chairman Doug Stewart says Liberty has a proven record and will bring experience to the leadership role during the transition.
