Monmouth-Roseville To Honor Four Alumni and Former Teacher for Achievements

Monmouth-Roseville School DistrictThe Monmouth-Roseville School District will honor four distinguished alumni, as well as a former teacher and coach this evening.

The alumni will be inducted into the districts “Hall of Achievement” program, which was started in 1992.

Jennifer Van Kirk, John Livingston Jr., Leino “Bart” Corgnati, and Dr. David Carrier will all be recipients of the accolade.

The district will also honor former teacher and coach Carol “C.P” Pullen with the Distinguished Service Award.

Pullen tells WGIL, that he is grateful the district even considered him for the accolade.

“I’m astounded very pleasantly,” says Pullen. “I’m very grateful for the consideration that the school board has given me–I’ve always had a good relationship with them, but never dreamed it would come to something like this. I’m very pleased obviously, and it makes me very proud to be in the realm of their possibilities.”

Pullen served as a teacher within the district from 1959 until 1990 when he retired. He then continued coaching for another nine years.

This years inductees into the hall include a lawyer, a NASA employee, a naval aviator, and a surgeon.Ceremonies will be held tonight at Monmouth-Roseville High School.

The ceremony begins at 7 p.m.
