Lipinski Announces $2.5M Grant For Chicago’s Midway Airport

CHICAGO (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded Chicago’s Midway International Airport a $2.5 million grant to improve safety and efficiency.

U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski announced the grant Monday. It will be used to reconfigure a taxiway to provide clarity to pilots.

Lipinski says the grant will help make sure Midway “is operating as safely and efficiently as possible.” He says he’ll keep working to see that the federal government “keeps investing in Midway.” Lipinski is senior member on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and serves on the Aviation Subcommittee.
