Bridgeway Announces Bill Nelson as New Chief Executive Officer

Bridgeway_windish_sign_300Wx200HBridgeway has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer to take over starting July 1st.

William “Bill” Nelson has been serving as Clinical Services Division President since October of 2013.

Nelson has worked in various departments through Bridgeway for 27 years. He began at Spoon River Center, which later merged with other local services to create Bridgeway in 1993.

Nelson tells WGIL that he is looking forward to continuing his career at Bridgeway.

“Well I’m very excited about it, it’s a tremendous honor,” says Nelson. “I’m very fortunate to have been working with the organization for the past 27 years, and really the span of my career there, and work with wonder people over the years and so I’m very excited and happy that I can continue to serve Bridgeway.”

Nelson says currently they are working on keeping their services innovative and focusing on the evolution of healthcare.

Bridgeway offers a variety of services ranging from Mental Health Recovery to Childcare Services to Employment Services for Persons with Disabilities.

Bridgeway is a non-profit human services organization that has locations in over 25 counties between Illinois and Iowa.
