Sundburg tells WGIL, that Feary will be honored this evening.

“We do plan to award his diploma to his family, and I do intend to spend some time talking about Timothy,” says Sundburg. “Several faculty who had him in class have given comments, and I do intend to share that.”

Traffic on 74 headed westbound at US-34 was diverted toward Route 150 for hours, with cars having to re-enter at IL-17 near Woodhull. The roadway re-opened after 5 p.m.

Five vehicles were involved: two semis, and three cars. 55-year-old Clifford A. Rasmussen of Buffalo Lake, Minnesota was the operator of one of the tractor trailers. Rasmussen reportedly sped through a construction area, when he struck Love’s 2006 white Mazda which caused a chain reaction taking cars off the roadway.

Rassmussen and another driver, 57-year-old Daniel M. Langan of Dunlap, were both taken to OSF St. Mary for minor injuries. The remaining driver, 37-year-old John O. Rattray of Lauderhill Florida was uninjured.
