Civic Art Center Hosts Work From Area Professors

Galesburg Civic Art CenterArea art connoisseurs will have the opportunity to view a new exhibit beginning this evening.

The Galesburg Civic Art Center is hosting a new exhibit entitled “Nature vs Man”–works which have been compiled by two area professors.

Fisher Stolz of Bradley University and Washington, Illinois has contributed to the project with works ranging stone, steel, and bronze work.

Harlow Blum of Monmouth and Monmouth College is the other contributor–using a scope of lava landscapes and climate change as his inspiration.

Together the artists have produced works that have been shown throughout multiple college campuses across the United States, as well as in exhibitions around the world.

Locally, Stolz and Blum’s exhibit will be on display through June 20th in the Joanne R. Goudie Gallery. An opening ceremony will take place this evening starting at 5 p.m.
