ELSAH TOWNSHIP, Ill. (AP) — Authorities in southern Illinois say a 65-year-old bicyclist died when she was struck by a truck.
Jersey County Coroner Carol R. Admire of Alton was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday afternoon. The (Alton) Telegraph reports she was riding toward Alton on Illinois Route 100 in Jersey County when the accident happened.
The Jersey County sheriff and Illinois State Police are investigating what caused the accident.
