Decatur Man’s Slaying is City’s Second Homicide of 2015

DECATUR, Ill. (AP) — Decatur police are investigating the slaying of a 42-year-old man.

The (Decatur) Herald & Review reports that Paul E. Robinson was shot early Saturday morning. Police responding to a report of shots fired around 12:30 a.m. found Robinson on the front porch of a home with multiple gunshot wounds.

Robinson was taken to Decatur Memorial Hospital, where he died about an hour later. It was the city’s second homicide this year.

The newspaper reports that an autopsy completed Saturday in McLean County determined he bled to death.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call the Decatur Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
