Dutch Royals Join DJs On Stage at Chicago Mini-Concert

CHICAGO (AP) — The Netherland’s King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima found some time to have fun during their visit to Chicago.

MLive.com reports the Dutch king and queen surprised local house and dance music fans by joining some disc jockeys on stage during a mini-concert. at Millennium Park on their last evening in the U.S. Tuesday.

The show followed a techno dance music masterclass offered by the School of House, a new Dutch education platform for the dance industry.

The visit followed a business dinner with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

It was Willem-Alexander’s first official U.S. visit since becoming king in 2013. The trip began Monday in Washington with a meeting with President Barack Obama and a stop at Arlington National Cemetery. The visit also included stops in Michigan.
