Coroner Identifies Man Killed in Southwest Illinois Fire

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Authorities in southwest Illinois have identified the 36-year-old man whose body was found inside a burned Collinsville home last week.

Madison County Coroner Steve Nonn says autopsy results for Jason G. Grant show he died from smoke inhalation and burns

Nonn says an official cause of death will be determined after toxicology tests. He says the origin and cause of the fire will also be looked at.

Grant’s body was found in the kitchen area of the home on Thursday evening.
