CHICAGO (AP) — Dennis Hastert has pleaded not guilty to all counts in his hush-money case. The former House speaker from Illinois has gone before a federal judge in Chicago, where reporters and photographers started gathering at dawn to wait for his first appearance since last month’s indictment.
The judge once donated money to Hastert’s campaign and says he will let attorneys decide if they want him to stay on the case.
