Chicago Park To Get Public Art Installation by Yoko Ono

CHICAGO (AP) — The office of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says a new public art installation by Yoko Ono is coming to the city’s South Side.

Emanuel’s office says he and Ono are announcing the new art piece Friday in Chicago’s Jackson Park. According to the mayor’s office, the installation titled “Sky Landing” is Ono’s first permanent public art installation in the Americas. The installation is set to open publicly in June 2016.

Emanuel is also expected to announce a new campaign for public art projects across Chicago.
